Messrs K.H. Wong, Chin & Cheah was established in year 2003, with an amalgamation of two firms (one which was established in year 1998 and the other in year 2000) established by the current partners whom have individually practised for at least 20 years each bringing together the combined experience of at least 50 years of legal practice to each and every one of the firm's clients for the past, present and future. The firm is already a decade in existence and we are indeed proud to have provided qualitative and professional advices and services to numerous clients, whether corporate, private or otherwise.

The partners’ decision for the amalgamation is squarely aimed to strengthen the previous practices of the partners so a wider spectrum of legal practices could be offered to all the firm’s clients. The firm currently operates its offices in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Johor Bahru.

With the combined experience and knowledge of the partners, the firm received an infusion of specialist corporate and conveyancing know how and consequently evolved from a well-respected and reputable litigation firm to one which is also equipped to serve the contentious and non – contentious needs of its clients. The firm has throughout the years, managed to provide stellar services and advices to numerous corporations, private clients. real estate agencies and developers; currently the firm is highly recommended by the existing clienteles to other potential clients.

In area of litigation, the partners in the firm have involved themselves in all range of court’s matters. The partners in the firm have always borne in mind that they are the problem solvers for all disputes faced by the clients, inter alia, to look for solutions to meet the clients’ needs, whether contentious and non-contentious. The firm, not only being the solicitors in the litigation matter, the partners in the firm have also been appointed as counsel to represent clients in the courts, including the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court in Malaysia.

Given the astonishing development in area of alternative dispute resolutions, the firm and the partners in the firm have also actively involved in the areas of arbitration, adjudication and mediation, in particular, the partners in the firm are actively involved in the practice under The Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (“CIPAA”). With the wide range of partners’ experiences in the firm, the partners have managed to provide complete solutions to meet the clients’ needs in area of alternative dispute resolutions. This is especially where the firm has at all material time actively involved itself in the area of real estates and construction which the same has become the foundation to conduct matters in the area of arbitration and adjudication for construction and land disputes.

In the area of conveyancing and/or real estates, with the wide support of such agencies that the firm has naturally progressed to include the firm’s services, the firm performs a wide variety of conveyancing works and the firm is currently very active in the sub-sale market for residential and retail properties. Moreover, the firm has assisted numerous developers in the legal aspect from planning through to the completion of their projects and has indeed amassed irreplaceable experience along the way. The developers that the firm is currently working with are very reputable and active and has numerous projects. The firm could provide all range of services in respect or area of conveyancing and/or real estates, especially the firm has acquired panel of financiers/banks in the field, whether local and/or international. The firm is happy to state that the firm is currently working with a total of at least 1000 real estate agents out of which at least 300 of which are very active. The firm has also successfully conducted sales and purchase agreements and loan documentations for at least ten projects for numerous developers and is currently empanelled with 10 prominent developers.

By taking into account the background of the firm and its clienteles, the firm has also actively involved itself in a wide range of corporate works. The firm and the partners in the firm fully understand that the client’s needs in corporate field, amongst others, the clients’ interests are always at the firm’s utmost concern while dealing with corporate works and the firm is always trying its best to provide the best protection for its clients.
